Can we take a moment to talk about plant based milks?
If you were to ask me 5 years ago about drinking oat or almond milk regularly, I would have laughed.
But it really was as simple as starting small.
One day I started getting almond milk in my latte instead of dairy.
One week I started having oat milk in my cereal (back when I ate it).
And before you knew it, I couldn’t even stomach the taste of dairy milk.
So let’s talk about one of my fave types of almond milk from Target!
Coming in at less than 60 calories per serving, this milk is delish in your smoothies or coffee. To make things even better, the cost is superb — seriously, I’ve never seen this milk cost more than $3. Usually it’s $2.49! And it taste just as good, if not better, than those fancy milks from the expensive brands.
So why should you go plant based with your milk this year?
• Almond milk is rich in Vitamin D, as well as several other vitamins and minerals!
• Because there is no lactose, this is a great alternative for people with a dairy intolerance. And as most of us have experienced, dairy is SO inflammatory.
