Unbecoming Everything You’re Not

You weren’t born to be a brand. Or a curated highlight reel. Or someone else’s version of “successful.”
You were born to be. To feel. To breathe deeply into your own skin and say, “This is me. Raw. Real. Enough.”

But somewhere along the way, most of us got lost.
We started trying on roles that didn’t fit. Hustler. Girl Boss. People-pleaser. Perfectionist. Chameleon.
All in the name of “becoming someone.”

Becoming what, though?
Someone polished? Palatable? Profitable?

Let’s be honest. That chase is exhausting. You shape-shift, shrink, filter, and edit. You mute your voice to be more likable. You hustle to prove your worth. You smile through the burnout.

Here’s the truth no one teaches you:
Life isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about unbecoming everything you’re not.

The real you has been buried under layers of conditioning, expectations, trauma, culture, algorithms.
Unbecoming is the real rebellion. It’s the return.
It’s the slow peeling away of the masks until what’s left is honest and whole.

Not easy. Not quick. Not cute.
But it’s real. And real is where peace lives.
Peace doesn’t show up when you’ve finally made it. It shows up when you’re finally you.

Unbecoming looks like saying no without guilt.
Leaving the room when the energy is off.
Resting without earning it first.
Trusting your gut when it makes zero logical sense.
Letting go of the version of you that was only ever built for survival.

Here’s the thing: the more you unbecome, the more magnetic you become. Not because you’re trying.
But because authenticity is rare and wildly attractive.

You don’t need to be more of anything.
You need to be less of what you’re not.

So take a breath.
The real you is waiting on the other side of your unbecoming.
