Ok, so I’m kinda OBSESSED with my juice machine!

As you may or may not recall, I’ve been in a true Eat Pray Love era, taking the summer off to recenter and focus on what matters most not only in life, but to me. A wise woman (The Nagging Doctor,) once said, “In order to be selfless, you must first be selfish.”

In my path to self-discovery and recentering, I took a closer look at what I was consuming. This meant not just in the literal sense, but also the physical and mental. But in the case of today’s blog post, we are talking about diet. Although I’ve never been a horrible eater, I definitely have limited horizons, at least if I’m the one cooking. Ask most of my friends and they will tell you I pretty much just make salmon and the usual sides of quinoa and steamed spinach.

But lately I’ve been stepping out and trying new things. And juicing seemed like a good way to go about it. I don’t always want to eat something or make anything, and juicing is so easy, and quick! Not to mention, juicing is one of my favorite ways to get all the nutrients my body needs in a delicious and refreshing way! Not only does it taste amazing, but it’s also super healthy and can provide a variety of benefits.

One of the biggest benefits of juicing at home, besides all of the money you save, is that you know what the ingredients are because you’re putting them in the juicer yourself. And come on, juicing is so convenient. We are all busy, right? Well juicing allows you to consume a large amount of fruits and vegetables in one sitting. This means you’re giving your body a huge boost of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in a quick and easy way.

Juicing can also help you stay hydrated throughout the day, which is essential for maintaining a healthy body. And since fruits and vegetables are naturally low in calories, juicing can be a great way to have a mid-day refresher instead of sugary alternatives like energy drinks, or overpriced chain coffee.

If you’re new to juicing, a great recipe to start with is a classic green juice. Simply blend together a handful of kale, a few stalks of celery, a cucumber, a green apple, and a lemon. This juice is packed with nutrients and has a refreshing, tangy taste that’s sure to leave you feeling energized and refreshed.

And if you really like mixing it up, a personal fave of mine is the Dragon Beet, which I really need to patent if it already isn’t, ha. This is a mix of beets, dragonfruit, and ginger. It’s filling, nutritious and makes me feel unstoppable.

While I might not be a health expert by any means, juicing is a simple way to improve your health and wellbeing, all while enjoying some delicious and nutritious drinks. So why not give it a try and see how it can benefit you?
